Several print newspapers serve the Greater Lafayette community. We have two dailies, the Journal and Courier (Gannett) provides all around coverage of local, regional and world events and The Exponent is a student run daily (well, 5 days a week anyway) providing news tailored to the Purdue community. The Lafayette Leader is published weekly on Thursdays with local news coverage and stories, along with the Lafayette Business Leader, also published weekly on Thursdays, with a focus on the greater Lafayette business community. Just Kidding! is a monthly "guide to family fun in Greater Lafayette" that features special events and activities of interest to families with children.

Some good places to look for these publications are:

• City News on Main Street, Downtown Lafayette;
• Von's Shops in the Village near campus;
• Border's Books at Wabash Landing in West Lafayette;
• Barnes and Noble by Tippecanoe Mall

Lafayette's CBS affiliate is WLFI-TV18 and is one of the most powerful stations in Indiana. TV18 is the only station with live local newscasts. Cable television is provided to all of Lafayette, West Lafayette and many rural areas by Insight Communications. Information for a hook-up can be taken over the telephone, 765-447-6886, or by visiting the office at 325 South Creasy Lane. Installation is usually within three days after ordering.
